China’s Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) Li Jinxiang met with Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of Russia’s Primorye Territory, and his delegation in Beijing on Mar. 27, 2023. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in agricultural economics and trade and S&T.
CVO Li Jinxiang stated that Primorye Territory is a key focus of China-Russia agricultural cooperation. China welcomes quality agricultural and livestock products from Primorye Territory and is willing to encourage competent Chinese companies to invest in agriculture and develop cooperative parks in Primorye Territory. China supports research institutes of both countries in carrying out cooperation and exchanges on crop breeding and cultivation technology.
He hoped Primorye Territory could provide greater policy support to Chinese agricultural companies and projects to secure that such cooperation could deliver more concrete benefits for both sides.
Kozhemyako highly appreciated the proposal by the Chinese side, expressing that the meeting boosted his confidence in cooperating with China and that Primorye Territory stands ready to intensify bilateral economic and trade cooperation in agriculture with China.
